A Michigan Recreation Passport is required to enter Bald Mountain Recreation Area by car. Prices and more information can be found at https://www.michigan.gov/dnr/Buy-and-Apply/rec-pp . In person purchases with the DNR at Bald Mountain Rec are cash only, please bring cash if you plan to purchase the day of your visit. 

To ensure visitor safety, there are times when Lake Orion and/or Bald Mountain Rec Area may reach capacity (especially on holidays, holiday weekends and special events). If this happens, your WhoaZone ticket does not guarantee you admission into the outlying park, only into the WhoaZone facility. During busy times we strongly urge you to arrive early in the day, regardless of your scheduled splash session time. Missed sessions due to city or state park capacity will be handled on a case-by-case basis, however, WhoaZone is not responsible for closure due to local city, county, or state regulations.
