DO YOU HAVE PLACES TO PURCHASE FOOD AND BEVERAGE AT THE PARK?

YES! We have a SnackZone Concessions & Beach Store located in the main building, adjacent to the restrooms & ticketing. We offer hot food: hot dogs, burgers, pretzels, nachos, and snacks, soft serve ice cream, slushies, ice cream bars, cold beverages and much more! Check out our menu HERE.

You are also welcome to bring your own coolers, grills, food & non-alcoholic drinks to the beach. Public grills & picnic tables are available on a first come, first serve basis. Forget something? Stop by the SnackZone for supplies like charcoal, tongs & more.

Please be advised, no food or drink is permitted on the WhoaZone aqua park.
HOW LONG IS EACH SPLASH?

A Single Splash session and an Add a Splash session each consist of 1 hour in total, this includes a 10-minute Safety Orientation and Rules of Conduct review followed by 50 minutes on the WhoaZone obstacle course.

An All Day Splash is consecutive Single Splash sessions from park open to park close. You will be required to exit the course after each Single Splash session.

If you arrive late, your time on the WhoaZone obstacle course may be shortened.
DO I NEED A RESERVATION TO ENTER THE WHOAZONE?

We operate on a first come, first serve basis so we strongly recommend reserving your spot in advance by booking online. Purchases can be made on-site if availability allows. Everyone participating on the aqua park must purchase a ticket.

Lower Trout Lake Beach is a public beach, tickets are only needed to participate in WhoaZone activities. Visitors who do not plan to participate on the aqua park do not need a ticket.
WHAT IS THE PRICE AND HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY SESSION?

Payment can be made online or in person. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Debit Cards, cash and WhoaZone gift cards. Gift Cards can be purchased online to make giving the gift of FUN easy! There is a 6% fee to book online and a 3% in person fee for credit cards.

Prices for the WhoaZone obstacle course are for ages 7 and up are the same for children and adults. The KidsZone is for ages 4-7 & under 45″. Parents do not need a ticket to accompany their child near the KidsZone, however only kids will be allowed on the KidsZone aqua park.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO ENTER THE WHOAZONE?
For the WhoaZone aqua park, you must be at least 7 years old and 45” in height to participate on the floating obstacle course.

For the KidsZone, you must be between the ages of 4 years old and 7 years old to participate on the floating obstacle course. The height requirement for the KidsZone is between 39” and 48″ in height to participate. (Parents may accompany children around the KidsZone without a ticket, but are not permitted to play on the KidsZone.)
DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING?

Michigan Recreation Passport is required to a park a vehicle in the Bald Mountain Rec Area. The cost is $20 cash at the DNR toll booth and the passport is valid until your tag renews. Out of state vehicles are able to purchase a day pass for $12.

DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM?
ARE LIFE JACKETS PROVIDED? CAN I BRING MY OWN LIFEJACKET?

All guests must wear a US Coast Guard certified lifejacket. We provide life jackets for your convenience, available in sizes Child through Adult 3XL, these are mandatory for all WhoaZone or KidsZone participants. If a guest is too small or too large for a WhoaZone lifejacket, they will not be able to participate unless they provide their own.

You can provide your own US Coast Guard certified lifejacket for the WhoaZone or KidsZone aqua park, subject to inspection and approval by a WhoaZone Team Member. WhoaZone has the right to refuse any improperly fitting or damaged life jackets.
DO I NEED TO COME WITH A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN?

No, If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete and sign a waiver online in advance of arrival in the child’s name.

WhoaZone is not responsible for the supervision of children. Lifeguards are on duty to monitor the safety of all WhoaZone guests and are not able to babysit or take responsibility for unaccompanied children.
ARE MEMBERSHIPS AVAILABLE?
IS THERE SHADE AVAILABLE ON THE BEACH?

Lower Trout Lake Beach offers some areas of natural shade around the park. Picnic tables & shady spots are available on a first come, first served basis.

WhoaZone offers shaded seating rentals on the beach, available online and in person for your convenience!

The Party Zone includes a total of 6 shaded picnic tables – 2 reserved per party for up to 20 guests each.

You are welcome to bring your own chairs, umbrellas & canopies.
MUST I SIGN A WAIVER TO PARTICIPATE?
DOES THE PARK CLOSE FOR BAD WEATHER?

Safety is of the utmost importance to WhoaZone so we will close when the beach is closed due to inclement weather or when conditions are deemed unsafe due to high winds and/or rough surf. We recommend adding Ticket Insurance to your advanced online bookings for just $4.99 (in total, not per person).

Ticket Insurance allows you to protect your purchase and receive a full refund (minus the cost of insurance) for cancellations at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled party time or if WhoaZone has an unplanned closure. If you cancel within 24 hours or do not attend your scheduled party, you will receive a WhoaZone gift card credit for the amount paid.
IF I HAVE AN ADD A SPLASH OR ALL DAY SPLASH DO I HAVE TO LEAVE THE WATER AND ATTEND THE SAFETY ORIENTATION AGAIN?
CAN I WEAR AQUA SOCKS OR WATER SHOES?

A closed toe style water shoe or sock with a soft sole is permitted on the WhoaZone.

Aqua socks are available to purchase online & in person, based upon availability. WhoaZone aqua socks help you enjoy your splash with more grip & less slip.

Shoes of any type with a hard bottom or shoes with no back are not permitted. Management has final approval on any and all footwear allowed on the equipment.
CAN I USE MY SELFIE STICK OR GOPRO ON THE WHOAZONE INFLATABLES?

Selfie sticks are NOT allowed on the WhoaZone obstacle courses due to the danger of injuring others as well as possibly damaging the equipment. GoPro style cameras are allowed on the WhoaZone obstacle courses however, WhoaZone is not responsible for lost or damaged cameras/phones and no one is allowed to dive under the equipment to retrieve it if lost. BRING AND USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

WhoaZone aqua park – must be 7 years old, at least 45” tall and a capable swimmer.

KidsZone aqua park – ages 4-7 & under 45″.

To ensure your safety in the sports park, please comply with the following rules:

Only use during the official open hours!
Only use in the presence of a guard!
Do not use in darkness or when there is lightning!
Do not jump from high products onto other objects or people!
Use the products responsibly to ensure you don’t injure yourself or others!

Ensure there are no people or objects in the water before jumping from any area of the park!

Do not dive underneath the products!

No access to children under the age of 7 years old on WhoaZone or children under age 4 on KidsZone!

No diving or sliding head first!

No access to the park with any objects from the outside of the facility!

No access to the aqua park with any type of food or drink! Outside food & non-alcoholic, non- glass drinks okay at Heron Beach.

No access to the park after consuming alcohol!

No smoking within the park!

No access to the park after consuming drugs!

For safety reasons do not access if you are pregnant!

Remove watches, jewelry, keys, or other sharps objects before entering the park!

The park is not responsible for any lost or stolen items!

Only access the park after registration with the operator!

No access to people smaller than 45″ inches (1,10 m) on WhoaZone!

Swimmers only!

The guard may expel people who endanger their own safety or that of the safety of others from the park!

Use of a WhoaZone issued life vest is required!

We highly recommend the use of sunscreen throughout your playtime at the park!

THE OPERATOR CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ACCIDENTS THAT OCCUR DUE TO IMPROPER USE OF THE WHOAZONE PARK OR BY NOT FOLLOWING THE SAFETY RULES ABOVE.
